The BONK show begins with three contestants wearing helmets and holding soft foam mallets. The helmets are outfitted with sensors that ring in when the helmet is hit. In order to “BONK In” and answer a question one must hit him/herself on the head with the mallet. The first round is strictly self-inflicted bonking. Contestants score points for a correct answer, lose points for an incorrect answer. The questions are simple to speed matters up, but be careful; as hysterical as these trick questions are, the BONK master always stays one step ahead and will undoubtedly fool your contestants and delight your audience.

 

When a contestant wins a round, the low scorer is eliminated and the remaining two contestants face off in the “Back BONK” round. The questions get tougher, and now the opponents may not only BONK themselves, but ALSO may BONK each other to force them to answer. This round provides far more spirited bonking than the first round and incredible on the spot BONK moments. Winners of the individual rounds have the opportunity to take the wild BONK Challenge to win prizes from sponsors, partners, your company or other comedy based prizes.

 

Individual game winners can then meet head to head for the final “BONK Bash” round. This free-for-all has all three contestants hitting themselves or any of the others in a race where the winner takes all and gets crowned with the highly cherished BONK crown.

 

Between game rounds, The BONK Show is interspersed with hilarious commercial parodies, cheesy consolation prizes and great audience participation.

The Questions

In keeping with the tenor of the game, the questions are sometimes challenging, often tricky and always humorous. They range from intriguing, ” Can a pig get sunburned?”, to silly, “Sing a song you learned in grade school.” They may be smart, “Is this a rhetorical question?” (No), or tricky, “How many of each type of animal did Moses take on the ark?” (zero, it was Noah who had the ark.)

 

Back BONK questions become tougher to encourage the participants to clobber each other. This is also the round where we ask contestants to do things they might not like to do, such as dance the Macarena or give us the worst pick-up line you ever used. If they don’t want to do it, they better be quick with the mallet.

 

In addition to standard verbal questions, the game is interspersed with fun visual and aural questions. The BONK Jumble where they have to unscramble a word, the BONK Silhouette where contestants guess who is underneath the shade, Guess the Impression, Decipher the Balloon Animal, and others, are all done for full comic effect.

(1) Contestant Automatic Camera's: Three separate camera's are focused on the individual contestants and automatically will broadcast live video of the contestant that had 'BONKED-In' first. Let the audience see the individual contestants sweat via your projection screens as they struggle to answer questions, dance, sing or otherwise get BONKED.

 

 

(2) Live Music: The Keyboard Player: interacts with the show, playing riffs related to the questions, intros, and theme music. He also performs the live announcing of commercial parodies, prizes and occasionally even becomes part of the game when contestants are asked to finish a song.
