Bill Treasurer
"Author, Speaker, Entrepreneur
High Diver, Whitewater Kayaker
and most importantly...Husband & Father!"

Taking Your Company to New Heights

In today's unrelenting business environment, people need to unleash their entrepreneurial spirit, unlock their creativity and kick-start their initiative.  Now more than ever, people and organizations need to be courageous.  Small steps on't do...it's time to take Giant Leaps!

Bill Treasurer Knows About Courage . . .

Bill grew up with a debilitating fear of heights.  As Bill tells it, "One thing that's indespensible to courage is fear.  But fear isn't just an emotion, it's an opportunity.  To face your fear means t be in the midst of your own courage."

In this high-spirited, content-rich keynote or seminar, Bill will share with you how facing his fear of heights led him to become a professional high diver.  For seven years Bill traveled the world as a member of the U.S. High Diving Team, performing dives that scaled over 100 feet.  That's three times higher than the highest platform in the Olympic games, the equivalent of a 10-story building!

Bill's lessons about courage go well beyond his years as a daredevil athlete, and include lessons drawn from his years as an entrepreneur, executive coach and team building instructor.   Among other things, you'll learn how to:

  • Draw on fear itself by putting it to work for you
  • Make courageous decisions at work and at home
  • Recognize the dangers of the "risks of inaction"
  • Identify and prepare for your Giant Leap!

Bill is the founder of Giant Leap Consulting and author of Right Risk (Berrett-Koehler, 2003) — the highly acclaimed book on personal courage.  Bill also served as editor of Positively M.A.D. (Betterr-Koehler, 2004), which contains stories from over 50 of the world's leading thinkers (including Bill Treasurer) about how to Make A Difference in the world.  Get MAD!

Bill's keynotes include inspiring footage from his high diving days.  You and your workforce will come away refreshed, reinvigorated and recommitted to high achievement.

Reviews:
“I’m really happy that he came, I’m really happy that we chose him.  We’ve been in this situation before where we’ve gone out on a limb to pick a motivational speaker and been disappointed.  With Bill, I’ve never been more happy with my choice.  I look forward to working with him again.”     Ella Koscik, CEO, Management Decisions Inc (MDI)

“Bill is a unique personality.  One of those personalities who can light up a room and leave you with stories you’ll be telling for years to come.”      Justin Roux, Editor, Pipeline Magazine   "I can wholeheartedly say that it was a pleasure working with you and would recommend you to any organization based on my experience!  You did a terrific job of providing a customized presentation that reinforced the goals and objectives of CSFB's cross-divisional mentoring program.  We loved the jeopardy game of "Let's Play, Guess the Mentor".  It was obvious that you conducted a considerable amount of research to identify who mentored many of these business luminaries, Warren Buffet, Dave Thomas, Douglas McGregor, among others.  Also, I'm very grateful that you took time to get up to speed on the current approach to mentoring given that so much as changed in this space over the years."    Valerie Fondoukis, VP Organizational Development Credit Suisse First Boston

"I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the entire New England Field Division's management team to thank you for your poignant and insightful presentation at our management conference...Your workshop was truly inspirational...the lessons we all learned from you are now a permanent part of our lives.  Your mix of humor with serious subject matter provided a motivational platform that our managers will be able to turn to when they are in doubt and change is needed.  The Drug Enforcement Administration is truly grateful.  June W. Stansbury, DEA, Special Agent in Charge  New England Field Division   “Really engaging and incredible.  His presence related well to our team, he matched our company’s personality.  Everyone enjoyed being a part of it.”      Frank Fenello, President, Finance & Accounting, MDI
